Rintaro Tanaka Born in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1970 and raised in Yokohama. In 1990, while living at Keio University's Faculty of Commerce, he began writing as "the world's youngest black music researcher". Began contributing to the magazine "Black Music Revue" and many other music magazines. In 1994, he expanded his field to the field of motorcycle fashion and began researching vintage fashion.
He has published numerous books, including the book "Motorcycle Jackets" (Schiffer Publishing Ltd.),
and is now recognized as a global leader in second-hand fashion research. He then moved to San Clemente, California in 1998. In 2003, he began self-publishing "My Freedamn!"
and has about 10,000 fans worldwide, known as "Freedamn Heads". In 2010, he launched the vintage event "Inspiration" in Los Angeles.
